Pamporovo is a modern ski resort in the heart of the Rhodopi mountain, the mountain of the mythical singer Orpheus. It is amongst the southern skiing resort in Europe. It is the sunniest Bulgarian mountain resort with wonderful snow throughout the whole season. Pamporovo is situated on 1650 m above the sea level at the foot of peak Snejanka (1926 m). It is 240 km far from Sofia and 85 km from Plovdiv.

There are nine ski tows, as well as six lifts /chairlifts/, which allow the fast and comfortable movement of the skiers. The new six-seat chairlift of the Pomagalski company – France is with capacity of 2 400 people per hour -116 chairs of 6 seats each, with length of 2992 meters. The snowmaking system of the company Sufag and York is with total length of snow covering 4 034 m. It creates conditions for use of the runs for a longer period of time. The access to the facilities is controlled by a Axess chip card.
